The S-5500 are the new “State of the Art” audio product by
EMPIRE. Featuring an innovative new design, looking for the best audio
performance without compromise to ensure exceptional performance to conquer even
the most demanding users. The Empire S-5500 are BI-AMPLIFIED and use four
TDA2050 integrated chips made by Microelectronics. It 's rare to use four
TDA2050 integrated chips on a sound system of this kind, in this specific case
it’s clear that Empire has not spared searching for excellent sound
reproduction. This greatly improves the output signal strength and the power
sent to the speakers. Everything is controlled by an ACTIVE ELECTRONIC
CROSSOVER. In fact the Empire S-5500 are stable also with very dynamic rhythms
and are beyond compare. Tweeters are composed of top quality silk with a 25
layers magnetic dome on top! They have a linear response curve, excellent
dynamic performance and high-resolution :everything is expressed in a beautiful
sound, sweet, natural and crispy. Woofers are made by a 5” composite material
cone with a Y30 Ferrite magnet. The coil is made with Kapton, a material
resistant to high temperatures, designed for long wear resistance while still
providing exceptional performance and basses. Extremely detailed is the side
panel with retractable knobs, practical and easy to use for volume, bass and
treble adjustments. The Empire S-5500 system is designed with an asymmetric
cabinet shaped like a truncated pyramid. This design produces a pure sound
because the diaphragm can be sloped to reduce standing waves inside the cabinet,
while eliminating the interference of the sound produced by the reflection of
the front panel. High-quality matte surface, along with simple and elegant
design of the front panel shows a feeling of elegance, grandeur and solemnity.
